Joe Rogan Tidbit Google Ad Policy
New Google Ad Policy
Recently Joe Rogan brought up a new Google policy meant for advertising that could control what is posted based on "sensitivity" of current and past events.
This means Google can take down ads and demonitize companies if they feel like it is sensitive to events such as politics, weather, natural events and terrorism.
In the verbatim reading, sensitivity is subjective to what Google feels.
This could include facts on war and conflict, videos of effects of certain laws or platforms, partisan advertising, support for aid for a country, and the fallout of natural disasters versus media portrayal.
The potential exists for Google and YouTube to ban ads and videos for certain politcal parties, certain political platforms, religions and churches, companies that sell certain products (firearms) and individuals or podcasts that have certain guests and ad reads.
Joe was not with it. The policy took effect in February.
