The Elon Musk Effect Part One

 Elon Musk

On Buying Twitter and Creating X

Joe begins this clip asking Elon Musk if he ever wakes up and wishes he didn't buy Twitter. Musk responds that it was going to be a recipe for trouble.

Rogan then asks what led Musk to the decision to buy Twitter.

At the risk of sounding dramatic, Musk believes Twitter was having a corrosive effect on the human population- a bad impact. He mentions a fundamental problem being that Twitter HQ was in San Francisco which was a "zombie town." He says the philosophies they were piping on Twitter led to the disaster outside of their own front door.

He thinks the fallout from these bad philosophies used to be limited to the area they were from, but with Twitter these bad philosophies were being broadcast around the world. It became an information "mind virus" weapon for one side. Musk says the mind virus is obvious and exploded in San Francisco. Joe Rogan and Elon Musk call the deep left a "death cult."

Musk says many of their policies would help the eradication of civilization. This stems from Elon being in favor of higher birth rates right now versus the side that thinks we need less births right now. He is also worried about what AI will pick up by reading "extinctionist" policies  on social media etc.

They bring up that after Musk handed over the famous "Twitter Files" to Matt Taibbi, he was audited suddenly by the Feds. (A common trend with this administration.)

Musk admits Jack Dorsey, former owner, did not and could not know the extent to which the government had it's hands in the inner workings of Twitter. Musk said it had became a propaganda state arm of the Left and they would shut down views on the Right or even the Middle. They go into how they oppress anyone that is not far far Left in views and in line with the administration and FBI.

Joe Rogan wonders why more people on both sides are not more bothered by this.

They mention how moderate tweets from the Right would be banned permanently even if true, but the Taliban and others could openly call for the destruction of America and keep their page open. They mention obvious bias.

Musk ends with saying Twitter should be a community forum where everyone gets to speak, not just those with far Left views.

  1. I think that Elon Musk buying twitter was one of the worst things to happen to social media. He didn't buy it because of "bad philosophies", he bought it because he wanted to control what people are able to say about him specifically. He wants a place where "everyone gets to speak" unless you're critical of how bad of a job he's doing. His fragile feelings can't handle it. Thats why the only real thing he's worked at censoring are critiques of himself rather than censoring actual harmful of illegal things that are posted to the app. There's been a clear rise in the use of hate speech and illegal activity on the app since Elon took over so I really don't think he's accomplishing his goal of helping "the eradication of civilization".
