The Sheldon Johnson Effect

 *Murderer Sheldon Johnson

Lies his Way onto Joe Rogan

Joe Rogan recently had a podcast guest that was a "reformed" prisoner and advocate for early release and education of prisoners.

While he did make some points on the importance of reform and education.......

He left out large parts of why he ended up in prison (A ruthless robbery and beating of a man and a woman.) Many who watched the podcast felt as if he was sketchy and not a very good example of the programs they were advocating for.

Less than a month later appearing on the show, Johnson was arrested and charged with murder. He "allegedly" killed a man, cut him into pieces and stored him in a freezer.

    Johnson claims innocence.

Sheldon Johnson was originally given 50 years for his crime and was released after 25 years. It can be hard to argue that the original 50 year sentence wasn't appropriate for this type of offender.

I felt a need to include this story as it happened since the onset of this blog about Joe Rogan. The episodes have mostly been deleted with him and it is yet to be seen if he will have more prison reform advocates on soon.

The clip shared is not from JRE Affiliates, but YouTube at large.

Joe Rogan often brings in people from the Innocence Project and other advocates for convicts and prisoners.
